Kastanienhof in Frankfurt

For the first time there, I really liked it and will visit the place again.

It is completely a mystery to me how ratings over 2 stars come about. I've never eaten so bad! There were four of us and no one liked anything, even the people sitting next to us left half-full plates behind. The pasta dish was tasteless with cheap oil (olive oil ??) Schnitzel-breaded beer mat forgotten in the deep fryer. Green sauce questionable which herbs they put in there, french fries without salt, salad was colorful but only dressed with raspberry vinegar. The good thing about the pizza - it was warm. Hygiene - You have to clean the table yourself and there are no towels in the toilets.

So we were there yesterday and have nothing to complain about. The fact that chestnuts fall from trees and birds fly around should be clear to anyone who takes a seat in a BEER GARDEN. The food is always a matter of taste and the waitress is only a person who may have a bad day. Basically, I do not think of all these reviews and I prefer to see for myself. WE LIKE IT, WE LOVED IT AND IF I WANT TO EAT CHEAP AND FAST, I OPEN A CAN OF RAVIOLLI!

After the crows, or just one ?, put the sh ......... on my pants, the chestnuts flew from the tree onto the table, it was time to leave the bar. ?

Friendly service and a nice atmosphere on the Main.

Very child friendly. The food was delicious and everything was fresh. Are excited. I had a complaint because something came wrong and was changed very confidently and in a friendly manner. Rarely been treated in such a way as to be anticipated. Gladly again soon :)

Delicious food in a nice beer garden atmosphere on the banks of the Main. Prices slightly higher but reflect the good quality and nice service. Overall a recommendation.

Catastrophic. 25 people celebrated U. Everyone hugged everyone. Yes, whether the restaurant operators have to say something ... can be discussed. The salad is simply tasteless ... despite a little pomegranate. Slicing cucumbers as thick as your thumb shows that the cook thinks that salad is for rabbit food.

We went there twice for lunch. The quality of the food is inconsistent and partly insufficient, the service unfortunately only mediocre in terms of friendliness and speed. I had the tagliatelle with gorgonzola and spinach sauce both times, with the portion size and seasoning varying a lot. The price level is also okay, the location right on the Main is of course dignified and beautiful. Well-intentioned 3 stars ...

Were there with friends. Service and location were very pleasant. Unfortunately the food was of marginal quality. Pizza was tasteless. Special: Salt in the dough was missing and the cheese didn't taste like anything. You can do this better at home with little effort. Pasta was better in taste but totally broken. Either reheated or pretty cheap quality ... Bruscetta was ok. Salad seasoned very modestly. However, I was very surprised by the quality of the olive oil that we got on the table. Thumbs up. If I land here again, I would avoid Italian dishes.

In the summer a cozy place on the Main, the service is very friendly and polite and the food is tasty. I've always been lucky with parking.

The noodle dish is fine. The schnitzel unfortunately does not taste so good. Maybe not use a finished one. You get ahead with freshness. Service is friendly and very attentive. ?

Today we had a company outing with 10 pers. We all had different food, all very delicious, of the best quality and affordable. Everyone was very satisfied. A highly recommended restaurant with good service.

Great food, but take a bucket of time with you. Our meal took 1.5 hours and the restaurant was not full. Really unacceptable. No compensation offered either.

Unfortunately, we had to wait over an hour for our food on a Saturday night. The service staff was unfortunately also on the rush, because the other surrounding restaurants had private meetings, prepared. An order went awry, but the food was normally good.

Very friendly service. You can sit outside with great patience and you will find a parking space - in good weather rather difficult. Food was great and great in taste! Absolutely recommended.

Super nice operator, normal prices and good kitchen. The restaurant is constantly evolving and cooked to a good standard, also wishes are considered. For me, one of my favorite restaurants thumbs up ?

A very nice restaurant, with cosy atmosphere, delicious food and very friendly staff! The restaurant is located in a quiet green area, on the side of the Main river. It has a very nice terrace - where you can enjoy in the warm days at the shade of chestnut trees. The interior of the restaurant is also very cosy - I love the Christmas decorations . There is a wide range of very tasty food - from soups, salads, pizzas, pastas, fish, meat and some German dishes- You will also find some vegan dishes The chef is using a wide range of spices and vegetables that make the food very tasty! The pizza made here is amazing - my children love it! And one of the most important aspect is the staff - people working here are very nice, welcoming and smiling and they are child friendly! They are great! Thus, I really recommend the Kastanienhof!

Always delicious food. Super service. I like going there.

Faultless - usually I hate eating out but this was 100% spot on - everything cooked to perfection. I was eating with my wife & 4 kids and theirs was also perfect. Will definitely be back this holiday.
